Freedom tower site of former WTC towers

This is what it looked like as we walked up to it. that was almost the most impressive view to me as it was hard to see the whole area from any other vantage point.

peeking thru a hole in the the wire mesh that surrounds the viewing area.
thru the mesh watching a dump truck do its thing. it was hard to get a sense of ground zero as there was really no monument or nothing much of the rubble left visible. we did see what may have been part of the original foundation wall.
the freedom tower will be square at the bottom and top and octagonal in the middle with gradual shifting between the shapes in between. looks cool in the pictures. it will have reflecting pools in the 200 ft by 200 ft square footprint[s?] of the original tower[s?]
