Amy in the locks

Just after a cool off swim, Amy is back to work up forward handling ropes. In this type of lock there is a pipe you pass a rope around mid-ships and then you just slide up the pipe as the water rises.
Amy pulling hard to get us back to the wall as the wind was pushing the bow [front] out.
Amy swimming to cool off in the Erie Canal. We all had a great swim in the Erie. It was pretty hot a couple of the days. Amy and Sandy also swam together in the Hudson river.
Amy with the tools for 'locking through', gloves for the grimy ropes and a boat hook to grab the rope or push off as need be. Debbie usually had the Stern position with the same setup and usually Sandy at the wheel, but both Amy and Debbie took a turn at the wheel for a lock each and did fine.
